Ben Hoyle is a co-founder at Framework Designs, where he designs products and processes that help localize the supply chains behind the Kenyan construction industry. He is based in Nairobi.

Ben studied architecture at MIT, where he became interested in the systems of production behind buildings. He worked on large-scale fabrication projects and community-based design initiatives. He co-wrote his Masters thesis on the renovation of modernist housing stock in the former Soviet Union. 

Ben has worked at architecture firms in Paris, Moscow, Nairobi and Boston, and holds an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Williams College.

Lately, Ben has been focused on the question of how we can design buildings to benefit the many people that their construction brings together.
